In celebration of our marriage

21st December 2013
Add to this grove

We love trees.
It would be great if you could donate a tree.
It will help to grow the grove we have started
and create a forest for the future.

Donations

We are taking a long-awaited trip abroad. Thank you to Trees for Life for planting some extra trees for us 🙂

Today we donate 85 trees in memory of my Dad, Charles Brian Hancock, one for each year of his life. No longer with us in body since October 2020 but ever-stronger in spirit and forever in our hearts, this gift embodies a spirit of growth and thriving and a legacy for the future. From my Dad I learnt a way to really connect with each moment and to choose joy. This trait lives on his grandchildren, Finlay and Elodie, too and we are deeply grateful for this gift. As a family we celebrate Brian’s creativity, spontaneity, adventurous spirit and capacity to be utterly real; for making us smile and laugh, for filling our hearts with joy and for the love he shared. In his honour we plant these trees on his birthday, 6th January. May this grove flourish into a place of abundance, a thriving landscape and a sacred space for our family and others in which to remember, enjoy and give hope. With love & light.

"Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground,
and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches,
they find that they are one tree and not two."

May you find joy as you continue to grow together

Dear Amanda and Jamie,
What a lovely idea to re-clothe some of Scotland's bare ground with beautiful trees!
'For in the nature of things, if we rightly consider,
every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver'
Martin Luther.

I wish you both a long, healthy, happy, sparkly future together, with LOTS of dancing!

Wishing you both fondest love,
luck and happiness in your lives together.
How about planting two trees close together
and encourage them to entwine in reaching for the stars?
Looking forward to celebrating your special day,
love and hugs Max and Anth

I hope your trees (and your marriage)
grow strong and steady for a long time to come.
And I hope you get lots of lovely wildlife visiting -
can't wait to share it with you one day in the future -
a camping party outside of midge season perhaps?!
Lots of love,
Nic and Tom xxx
