A Grove of trees in the Scottish Highlands
A Walk on the Quiet Side
Roger Moulson
December 25 2014 onwards

This grove is a reminder for Roger of past and, perhaps, future trips to Scotland where he loved walking with the Top Men group, and me, on different occasions. It is also a reminder of our trips to Iona where there are sadly not many trees now. It would be lovely to see a similar grove on Iona.

Roger's grove will contain trees native to the Scottish highlands and in keeping with the highlands. The trees will give sustenance to the birds from their berries and a home for their nests. Other wildlife will find shelter there. It will be a place to walk in and around and a place for quiet contemplation. It will be a place for our children, Dan, Zoe, Sam and Suzannah and their partners, Udo, Marie and Craig to visit. Our grandchildren Ruben, Dylan, Asher, Eli and Joseph will want to play hide and seek there and other games. The grove will give spiritual peace and quiet to all who visit it. As Roger is a poet the grove will contain a bench where he can sit and think or sit and write. There will be a view over the countryside which will lift everyone's spirit. It will be a place that people will want to visit whenever they can.
