This grove represents the gratitude of a landscape photographer who spends his day exploring and interpreting the wild places of Scotland. For all the special moments, the wonders known and unknown; it is time to say thank you and give something back.

This grove gives me the chance to put something back in the wild places from which I draw my inspiration. My experience has taught me that 'Good Photography' is not about the quality of the image. It's about accepting unlimited responsibility for the impact of your presence and actions. It's about forging a relationship with the landscape and being duly grateful for the intimate moments it gives you. It's also about giving something back in return. Landscapes for Trees is an exciting project for me - a way to ensure that behind every image I find lies a positive impact on the place I found it. For every adventure I have, every student I teach and every image I sell this grove of native woodland will grow. You can contribute to this project yourself too by donating a tree, learning photography on one of my courses or by buying a great piece of art for your wall. David Russell www.shutterscotland.com
