Nature has the ability to take us out of the stresses of day-to-day work, and give us room to re-focus on what really matters. At Trees for Life, we are proud to offer team building experiences in the wild Scottish Highlands that bring colleagues closer together while undertaking vital conservation work.
A unique experience in nature:
Trees for Life has developed an award-winning residential conservation volunteering programme over the last 25 years. Our residential programmes focus on teamwork, coalescing around a common goal, and the healing power of spending time in nature.
Corporate team building with Trees for Life is rustic and off-grid. Your team will be sleeping and eating in our hostel-style accommodation – cooking together each night and sharing a genuinely authentic experience.
Your team will be led by two highly experienced guides throughout their time with us, who will help shape a dynamic and productive programme for your volunteers.
Bringing people together:
Team building with Trees for Life is a highly bespoke experience. Our programmes are centred on the needs of your team, and your desired outcome. Our activities are designed to give your team a sense of purpose through conservation work, while also exploring dynamics within groups so that participants can gain a deep understanding of each other and themselves.
During the day
Our days are filled with a variety of conservation activities which make a big impact on Scotland’s wild landscape.
Each team building experience starts with an introductory guided walk through the site, exploring the forest and its myriad wildlife.
Most experiences will include tree planting out on the hills, as well as removing non-native species so that we can replenish the landscape with native trees later on. Groups might also do some work in our innovative tree nursery, which produces over 60,000 trees every year.
We can also run optional educational and rewilding experiences, including wildlife tracking and nature treks with an experienced guide.
During the evenings
The evenings are when we come together and share with one another. Participants cook together, and after some down time gather to share their experience of the day. Our expert guides are trained in leading these sessions, which not only reflect on the work fo the day but can often address wider team dynamic. Our aim is to use conservation work as a way to bring people closer together.
