Dundreggan is a 10,000 acre (4,000 hectare) estate situated in Glen Moriston that contains a remnant of the Caledonian Forest, and is particularly noted for its exceptional birch-juniper woodland. As such it is an important site for biological diversity in Scotland, and Trees for Life aims to enhance this through the restoration work that we are carrying out there.
The taxonomic classification of organisms is constantly under revision as new understandings and insights into their relationships are discovered. The data in these lists conforms to that used on the National Biodiversity Network (NBN) Gateway at the time of production.
These lists have been compiled from records submitted by Trees for Life staff and volunteers, as well as local people, visitors and surveyors.
