What a loss to wildlife. Jonny was a truly inspirational guide and I'll never forgot the week I and 6 friends had in 2017 culminating in a wonderful day on Cairngorm with all target birds plus 2 purple sandpipers.

Wonderful memories of a truly remarkable man. We met Jonny at Heatherlea. She passion for and knowledge of wildlife was outstanding. Happy memories of badger watching at his house, watching him climb Cairngorm like a gazelle and at New Year resplendent in his kilt. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Johnny was the first member of Heatherlea I met on my first adventure in 2003. He collected me from the station and was a guide on this trip. He was a brilliant driver but very fast and I have fond memories of a white knuckle day trip to Mull! One of a kind, a true gentleman.
