Isobel Stewart Cairney grove

As a friend, teacher, sister, daughter or auntie, Isobel enriched the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know her.

We are all incredibly sad that the wonderful kind-hearted woman we were privileged to know was taken away too soon. Your friends Gail and Angela were looking forward to growing old with you Isobel, we really miss you and we set up this grove so that your memory will live on in the country you so loved.

I was at school with Isobel in Dumfries, and for some reason the other night, I started trying to recall the names of all the girls in my year. I started to google the names of those I could remember at the Benedictine Convent, and was shocked and so saddened to read of Isobel's passing. We hadn't met in more than 20 odd years, but I still have a photo of her and I doing a 'Doggy Walk' for charity in the Dock Park, Dumfries. We must have been 13 /14 yrs old. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family and friends. God bless, Amanda Rosa
