Ken and Barbara Denning Duke grove

Ken and Barbara were in the forces in WW2,Ken in the Army (RASC),serving throughout the war at Dunkirk and D day and Barbara in the WAAF,serving in 11 Group Fighter Command at Biggin Hill,Detling and Tangmere where she received the attentions of the Luftwaftes bombs and bullets.Later Ken became a psychiatric nurse,while Barbara was a communications officer in Kent and later Cornwall police. Married for 58 years,they loved the Highlands of Scotland and this is a fitting memorial.

They served their country well.
