To my friends celebration grove
Merry Christmas 2006, and in thanks for your support over the years

A grove of trees in the Scottish Highlands

"A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked." (Bernard Meltzer)

To celebrate Christmas 2006 and to thank you for the support you have given to this particular slightly "cracked egg" over the past few years. This grove is for Kirsten, for Brigit & Ali, for Jennifer & Ross and wee Amy, for Kathy & Alec, for Jackie, and for Eileen & Max. We don't see each other as much as we used to, and this grove is to remind us that, although we may grow at our own pace and in our separate places, we still have strong roots in the same patch of earth and we provide shelter and support for one another. Even if we are starting to get a bit more gnarled with age...

With much love and very best wishes for the coming year,

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.

Scots pine against a summer blue sky.
Twinflowers in bloom on pine woodland floor.
