Bannockburn Bowmen's celebration grove

Bannockburn Bowmen grove

Bannockburn Bowmen held a fun archery tournament
on May 27th in Stirling in aid of Trees for Life,
a charity nominated by junior member Blyth Walker.
The round shot was a Short Metric and associated junior rounds.
After the competition, tea and cakes were for sale
(all cakes were made by one of our Junior members, Connor Thomson)
and a raffle was held.

All funds from the refreshments and raffle were donated to Trees for Life along with 2 from everyone's competition entry fee.
Despite the poor weather, we had good support from archers across Scotland with visiting archers taking part from Montrose, Largs and Fife.

Blyth presented the archer with the overall highest score (Dave Scobie)
with a baby Rowan Tree at the end of the evening.
