A Grove of trees in the Scottish Highlands
Vi Hughes
Founder- Ransackers Project

Vi Hughes, a woman of vision with a passion for education and social justice, sought to develop a project to engage older people who had previously missed out on higher education. The Ransackers Project, an "Educational Adventure" offered seniors the opportunity to research a project of their own choosing. Vi believed academic study would be a lifelong aid to intelligence and creativity. Ransackers, from the gaelic rannsachadh, means to rummage, research and explore. Vi was the Honorary Chair of the Ransackers Association and it is with grateful thanks that we dedicate these trees to her.
