25 years ago we were given a wonderful patch of trees that we planted near the Callander Crags - with a great view towards Ben Vorlich and the surrounding hills. And, around 26 years ago, an old (now late) land agent friend from SNH experimented with regrowing the old Caledonian forest by fencing off an acre near Ben Lui to see what grew without deer and sheep. So it seemed like a good idea to celebrate 25 years with another small patch of native trees in the Glen Affric area. Some say that we are also attempting a similar trick in our Sussex garden by simply neglecting it and using spaniels to frighten off the rabbits and deer! All contributions from friends and family to this new 'rewilding' project are welcome.
