Mother, I hope one day to be as kind, generous, caring, loyal, beautiful, wise and patient as you are. Your strength amazes me. Your selflessness inspires me. There's nothing in the world that I could buy you that would express how much positive energy I think you deserve. Any and every good thing within me exists because of you. You were my first and best impression of how good the world could be. I hope these trees grow into totems of strength, beauty and protection - the things you have shown me. They will filter the sunshine and make their bodies with the energy it gives them, protecting and nurturing the lives of an ecosystem raised under their shelter, all the while acting as if this feat is effortless. I hope that if you stop and ponder this, you'll find it awe-inspiring. I'd like you to know how I feel when I stop to think of you.

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.
