Ashley from Glasgow and Micah from Creston, BC, Canada met in Creston in 2015 and married 18 months later. Ashley's mother Tara is from Creston but lives in Glasgow with her husband, Robin. Tara and Robin had a 'transatlantic' relationship as pen-pals for many years before marrying, and it is somewhat poetic that Ashley and Micah now have the same, if for a much shorter period, before they are together in Scotland (all things going to plan!). British Columbia, from year to year, suffers terrible forest fires which lay waste to thousands upon thousands of trees every year. It seemed fitting to us that, as Ashley and Micah were married in Canada and also had a ceremony in Scotland, we should plant trees in both countries. In Canada, these trees will help restore some of what is lost every year.

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.

Twinflowers in bloom on pine woodland floor.
