A Grove of trees in the Scottish Highlands
In loving memory of
Colin Campbell

Colin Campbell, 1923-2017

Add trees to this grove

In memory our Dad, who loved trees and the Scots country.

Donated by Ian and Gopa Campbell

21st August 2017

Colin was born in Glasgow in 1923 and therefore comes from a very undemonstrative tribe. I’ll attempt to toot his horn without offending his sensibilities. Being a self-educated, working-class Scot, he was an aristotcrat and inhabited my youth with books and reasonableness. He was also a dab hand at camping and the arcane skills of fire-lighting with damp wood. A cheerful atheist, he would no doubt approve of this tree-planting endeavour. All things considered, he was pure dead brilliant.

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.

Scots pine against a summer blue sky.
Twinflowers in bloom on pine woodland floor.
A Scotch argus butterfly on common ragwort.
