Trees for Life's Core Area, shown on the map below, has been the focus of our forest restoration work since 1989. As a key strategic development adopted in 2014, our 25th anniversary year, Trees for Life aims to expand its work in the future to restore Caledonian Forest remnants in other Highland regions.
The map below shows the remaining native pinewood remnants in the Scottish Highlands, including those in the Trees for Life Core Area.
