We are particularly interested in red squirrel sightings in the northwest Scottish Highlands
Learn about our Red Squirrel
Reintroduction Project there!
Reporting a sighting of a squirrel, either red or grey, is the most useful thing you can do to help red squirrels. It is only through knowing the distribution of each species that we can monitor how our native reds are faring, and sightings records are also super useful to help monitor the success of our Red Squirrel Reintroduction Project.
Not sure if it's a red or a grey squirrel that you've seen? Check out our squirrel ID guide.
This is something you can help with wherever you live in the country. From Lands End to John O'Groats, if you've seen a squirrel, we want to know about it!
