*Please note; we are currently experiencing some issues with power at the bothy so will not be renting it out to private groups for the time being.

Athnamulloch bothy is a warm and comfortable base in the remote and wild heart of Glen Affric – often described as the most beautiful glen in Scotland and designated as a National Nature Reserve.  Renovated in 2016, the bothy can accommodate groups of up to 12 people and is available for hire by any formally constituted club or organisation.

Surrounded by stunning high mountain scenery and wildlife rich Caledonian forest, the bothy is just a stone’s throw from the River Affric. It sits five miles west of the end of the public road in Glen Affric, so it can be reached on foot via a rough track and by road vehicles with reasonable ground clearance.

Facilities are basic but complete and include wood burning stoves, a low voltage solar power supply, rain-fed water supply, a well-equipped kitchen and composting toilet. Wood fuel is provided. You can find out more detail about the accommodation in the user guide – which can be downloaded below.

If you want to get back to basics in an unforgettable location, surrounded by great walking country and wildlife, without the digital world intruding, then this is the place for you and your group.

Hiring the bothy costs £190 (Inc.VAT) per night, with a minimum hire period of two nights.  The bothy can only be hired by constituted organisations – we are unable to take bookings from individuals and informal groups.  Restrictions on parking space at Athnamulloch mean that no more than three vehicles can be taken there.
