A Grove of trees in the Scottish Highlands
Happy birthday to
Connie Mary Byrom
5th June 2007

Connie Mary Byrom grove

With motherly love and tested patience,

As dedicated as a pillar box in service to "Her Majesty", if you please...!

This certificate testifies,

That you,

Dr and Mrs Connie Mary Byrom,

Have most successfully perambulated,

To three whole score and ten!

Across the rainbow...

Through Blessings, Beauties,

(even) boring relief... to beastly tribulations!

Volumes of undignified grunts,

Belly aches, bottom lip wobbles, et al,

Yet even as a bright blue sky,

Over Scotia's often broody face

The occasional nod, hint & smile,

Of gratitude,love and appreciation!

Having been so busy filling a lifetime with a mountain of clutter & achievement!

Not least of all in raising your five strapping weans,

While tending to quite a husband!

We have asked "Trees for Life" to plant a grove of native trees especially in your honour,

Somewhere in the Scottish Highlands to celebrate reaching 70 years of age...

Lots and lots of love x 5: Simon, Thomas, Sarah, Calum and Rob...

Keep on perambulating those mountains in spirit, or with the aid of wheelchair access,

and blue badge authorisation if necessary!

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.

Scots pine against a summer blue sky.
Twinflowers in bloom on pine woodland floor.
A Scotch argus butterfly on common ragwort.
