This grove is planted to celebrate the 80th birthday of Jim McBeth from his wife, Bronwen.
Happy 80th birthday, Jim. Love from Bronwen.

Jim McBeth was born in the Highlands and, although leaving to join the Royal Navy as a boy sailor, he has never lost his love for his homeland or his wish to return again. Living in South West England for over 60 years, he regularly makes the pilgrimage back to Contin to recharge his batteries and reconnect with the landscape and people that shaped him. His wish for his birthday was that a tree was planted in the Scottish Highlands to celebrate his love of the land. We hope that this grove will continue to grow for many years as the family adds trees to celebrate his birthdays for years to come!
