A Grove of trees in the Scottish Highlands
Danielle and Friends' Little Wild Wood

7th January 2017

To celebrate my birthday, I invited my friends and family to help me start a grove of trees in beautiful, wild Scotland. This little wild wood is our contribution to creating a greener, more beautiful world; to healing the atmosphere; and restoring the Caledonian Forest to its former magnificence.

Inspired by my recent conservation week at Glen Affric, I felt it was time to give our little wood a top up...

I'd like to dedicate this grove to my friends and family, whose generosity and support for the idea has totally exceeded my expectations. May these trees, as our friendships, be deeply rooted, stand firm in the face of stormy weather, and continue to grow and flourish for decades to come. Wherever we are, and however heavy-hearted we feel about the state of the world, may we find comfort in the thought of the life that, because of us, has now taken root.

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.
