In loving memory of Jane, who was the best sort of great friend. Brave, fun, encouraging and there if you needed.

This picture is of the second time Jane sheared a sheep, braver than me! But Jane was brave to the end & despite everything she was going through she would still have time to listen, encourage, laugh and help if she could. She enjoyed everything from lectures on Ancient Egypt, astronomy and geology field trips to sheep fairs, brewery tours, comic book conventions and films, and these were just the things she did with me. If there was something I fancied doing she'd give it a go even if she wasn't sure, and I did pick the odd strange thing - she was such an amazing friend! Jane loved watching and feeding the birds and had been talking about joining the RSPB to go bird watching sometime. Well dude, I thought I'd do this grove for you instead of flowers, for one it lasts longer and it will give some birds a place to roost and nest. Plus you know I do things differently.

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.
