The map above shows the historic area of the original Caledonian Forest, which covered much of the Scottish Highlands. As you scroll down to the map below, you’ll see that this once mighty wild forest is now confined to just a few small fragments.
Within this area we restore the wild forest, encourage the return of some of the wildlife that once lived within it and work with landowners, communities and partners so everyone can benefit from a thriving, healthy, rewilded landscape.
