Skog Media Associates are a climate and well-being focused communications and management consultancy. We work with people who want to change how they treat the world. Organisations looking to lead by enabling their workforce to make a difference. Part of our own journey is in establishing this grove with our friends at Trees for Life. We will use it to balance out our carbon footprint, to celebrate success and to create a really tangible way for colleagues, clients, suppliers and friends to share our space and support us if they choose. We have chosen today - May 6, 2021 - to begin. This is Election Day in Scotland where we vote for our new members of the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood. It has been called the Climate Election, coming as it does only a few months ahead of COP26 - a meeting for World leaders coming together to finds ways to tackle the climate and nature emergencies. This is our own modest contribution to that effort, our way of making a mark by planting trees like our future depends on it. Skog is the Norwegian word for Forest, described in dictionaries as 'a complex ecosystem consisting mainly of trees that buffer the Earth'. Our grove is named after and dedicated to Joshua Milne, son of our founder Shaun Milne, in the hope it both inspires and protects him and future generations.
