Every time we came to visit Scotland, Mary was a cheering, friendly and loving host. We are so happy that we met her one last time last summer. We will definitely miss her on our next visit. With all our love, Anne and Marit.

A lovely, living memorial to Mary, who gave so much to the world. My very good friend for over 50 years, I will always cherish Mary's great sense of humour, my introduction by Mary to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the shared pleasure of animated chats over coffee/tea and cake.

Remembering the night our second son was making his very quick entry into this world, Mary was there, keeping us calm. In loving memory of Mary , such a good friend over many years.

When our lives entered a dark period Mary took the time to write to us.
Her letter was full of support, encouragement, empathy and wisdom.
The letter was the very essence of Mary.
She will be sorely missed but we are grateful for the opportunity of knowing her
and for the memories she has gifted us.
