Ardnamurchan - April 2024 - Did we just find our new home? Pine Martens in a wee cabin in Kilchoan. Absolute heaven - incredible Martens with just a few (thousand) photos and incredible views. Two visits to our beautiful Sanna, one in winds that blew us over and one in calm sunshine with Bottlenose Dolphins. A storm at the lighthouse before moving to Salen for a leather workshop and an Otter fishing along the coastline.Donated by Zana and Joe

Mull - March 2024 - Following the weather to the west. Otters, cinnamon scrolls and sunshine! What can be better than that!? We revisited Calgary Bay, Treshnish and Loch na Keal where we saw Golden Eagles, WTEs, Otters and Hen Harriers. A trip to the Slate Islands happily delayed our journey home.Donated by Zana and Joe

Seahouses - January 2024. Starting the year strong with a winter retreat to the wide open beaches of Northumberland. Strong winds and big seas, hail storms on the sand, but plenty of sunshine....with fish and chips too! Seal pups and Purple Sandpipers were definite highlights.Donated by Zana and Joe

We have waited a long time to visit the Isle of Harris and, finally, in June 2023 we had the most amazing two weeks there. We started with a few nights in Plockton where we indulged in a beautiful view across Loch Carron and ate fish and chips and ice cream while doing a bit of rock-pooling. Then we had two GLORIOUS weeks on Harris. The weather was incredible, the wildlife and walks were truly exceptional and we may have stocked up on Gin and Tweed.....! Every day we saw something new – from beautiful machair filled with Lapwing, Redshank and Jeffrey chicks and the sound of our first ever Corncrake, to soaring White-Tailed Eagles near enough to touch as we climbed Ceapabhal. But nothing will ever compare to the BEST Otter encounter we could dream of. Being within a few metres as it clambered ashore, crunched on a Scorpian Fish, then preened itself. All totally relaxed while I nearly had palpitations in excitement! Mixing the incredible wildlife with stunning walks, white sandy beaches and turquoise waters that we simply had to swim in (except Pippa of course - nothing will get her near the water), Harris was more than we could ever have hoped for.Donated by Zana and Joe

2022 was a year of two halves. Thankfully, the second half had the best holidays. Gairloch - areas of rewilding, amazing wildlife, beautiful coastal walks and a poignant B24 crash site. But Pippa couldn't handle the steep driveway to the cottage because her ball kept rolling away! Ardnamurchan - a place of true wonder, and a long winding road to get there! Otters, Golden Eagles and Seals. Pine Martens, Badgers and Red Deer on the trail cam. And skinny dipping in clear turquoise waters. Swimming amongst the seaweed with the fish. And making friends with a floating Hermit Crab, on his way to wherever the tide takes him. Heaven.Donated by Zana and Joe

Our wild adventure to Tongue and Culkein (Lochinver) in September 2021. 500 miles driven giving us wildlife sightings of Golden Eagles, Skuas, Minke Whale, Bottlenose Dolphins, Common Dolphins, Porpoise, maybe even a Humpback Whale splash, Black-Throated Divers, Red Deer bellowing marking the start of the rut....and so much more! Oh, and really good cake, pies and jam!Donated by Zana and Joe
