Whilst we like to think we do things sustainably here at Lettoch Cottages, with much of our interior features being made by us using repurposed wood, we are increasingly aware of the cost of travel on the planet. We have our own rewilding site here at Lettoch (Rewilding Lettoch) and have already planted hundreds of trees and hedge plants, as well as establishing a wildlife pond in an attempt to enhance biodiversity. But we have limited space to plant further trees and have therefore decided to set up an arrangement with the fabulous organisation Trees for Life where our guests can donate directly to offset the impact of their holiday with us here at Lettoch. We have decided not to be prescriptive about how many trees would mitigate your travel to us, but a £6 donation would add one tree and anytime we travel on holiday within the UK we always make a donation of £25 to Trees for Life. You don’t have to look hard now to see the effects of climate change and biodiversity loss across the planet. Trees for Life are one organisation doing a great deal to try & reverse these negative impacts right here in Scotland and if we can support them, through our and your donations, then we can at least be assured that collectively we can make a difference.
