• Driving 8000 petrol miles per annum with fuel consumption of 40mpg equates to about 2 tonne! So 8 trees worth per year.
• Flying economy from Glasgow to Prague and back is just shy of a half tonne! So 2 trees worth per return flight.
• For an internal UK flight why not donate 1 tree, it's only a few quid!
• Flying economy return from Glasgow to Houston, USA via Heathrow is 2.5 tonne! So 10 trees to plant. Simply don't fly business class.
• Grid electricity is about 1 tonne for every £250 electric bill - better still sign up for a 100% green energy plan.
• 2 nights away in Oban for 8 people in 2 cars works out at about a half tonne including 200 mile Glasgow return car trip and accommodation. So 2 trees worth.
