Add to this grove

NHS Nottinghamshire County's first Green Week took place from 15 - 19 June 2009 and was successful in promoting our commitment to carbon reduction. Prize draws, competitions and information displays were held during the course of the week to inform colleagues about key sustainability issues and included information about recycling and how to calculate their carbon footprint, as well as trying out their green driving skills with a Smarter Driver vehicle simulator. Throughout the week, staff were also encouraged to travel to work in a greener way via public transport, car-sharing, walking or cycling.

As well as the educational aspects of our Green Week, NHS Nottinghamshire County were able to contribute cash sums to not only Trees for Life but also to the Sherwood Forest Trust through the generous individual donations of its employees. We hope that in future our awareness and support of environmental issues will grow alongside the grove we have donated.
