Uncle Bill my fondest memories of you are of the family life that you & Auntie Joy shared with me as a child during my many visits to my Dad in Victoria in the 1960's. Uncle Bill you always made everyone feel good with your positive, fun, storytelling. Thank-you for including us in your life. We miss you. Matt Odette & family

My fellow friend and Celt, may the years we spent with the Celtic club be ever in my thoughts, especially the heavenly sound of our choir. Your friendship meant so much to me, the only Welshman in the choir. You gave the orders, I did the singing?? God be with you among the heavenly hosts." - John Williams (Taffy)"We all miss Bill so much. He was always the voice of reason at our meetings as well as being so very willing to help out in every possible way he could. We extend our deepest sympathy." To say I knew Bill Georgeson does not seem enough. He was one of the nicest and most loving people I have ever met and I will miss him greatly. Being my brother-in-law we got to know each other pretty well over fifty odd years and have shared many experiences together. The one that sticks in my mind was a short trip to a medical clinic in Duncan where a certain procedure was allowed which was not available in Ireland or Scotland. We returned to Victoria satisfied but a little sore. I can truthfully say that I have never seen Bill in a bad mood or say anything that would make another person feel uncomfortable. He always had a happy smile and a firm handshake to greet you. With the Therapeutic Gardens there to remind us of him, He Will Not Be Forgotten. I am sure that Saint Peter at the Golden Gates will greet Bill and hand him a shovel and put him to work. From his loving brother-in-law.

He who plants a tree plants hope. Death leaves a heartache-no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal' - from a head stone in Ireland. Bill Georgeson was a very important young man (25 years old] in the lives of teenage boys in Kamloops British Columbia. His humour, story -telling and '"can-do ' attitude made him a memorable figure in our lives. His influence has been felt long after those scouting years.

Canada was blessed with Bill Georgeson who was a born leader and a visionary. He brought his winning ways and his Scottish ingenuity with him. Over the past20 years I have had the privilege of being a part of several working committees with Bill aas chairman. The town of Comox bestowed the citizen of the year on both Bill and Joy and I was honoured to make that presentation. Comox rotary club awarded Bill with the prestigious Paul Harris award for his untiring community effort throughout the Comox Valley- this was one of many awards. Bill Georgeson was a very highly respected well known gentleman who will be sorely missed but never forgotten by all of us.

TreesI think that I shall never seeA poem lovely as a tree.A tree whose hungry mouth is prestAgainst the earth's sweet flowing breast;A tree that looks at God all day,And lifts her leafy arms to pray;A tree that may in summer wearA nest of robins in her hair;Upon whose bosom snow has lain;Who intimately lives with rain.Poems are made by fools like me,But only God can make a tree.Joyce Kilmer
