Artists Planet Earth Artists Project Earth aims to create a better world by bringing the power of music and the arts to 21st century challenges. It supports effective projects and awareness raising initiatives to combat climate change and raises funds for natural disaster relief. To date APE has supported over 360 projects globally that are actively working towards the goal of creating a more just and sustainable world. From wetland conservation in Africa to coral reef regeneration in Indonesia; from tree nurseries in the Amazon to protests against aviation in the UK - APE supports those people who believe a different world is possible. To fund this crucial work, APE recruits internationally-known musicians and artists - Mumford & Sons, Beyonce, Eminem, Bob Dylan, Gorillaz, Sting, Coldplay, U2, The Killers, Amy Winehouse, Editors, Kaiser Chiefs, KT Tunstall and many others - to contribute to fundraising albums, and APE also hosts concerts, art exhibitions and art-related projects, to raise awareness and further funds. Sales of APE's four albums have now topped the one million units mark, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for the charitable aims of the organisation. APE's fourth album, Rhythms Del Mundo: Africa was released in 2012, featuring great tracks by Aloe Blacc, Mumford & Son, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fleet Foxes and many more. The simple act of downloading a track of wonderful music or buying the Rhythms Del Mundo CDs really can make the world of difference to those people suffering on the frontline of climate change. APE has planted 1,000 trees in this Corporate Grove. APE has also registered the planting of these trees with the UN's Seven Billion Trees campaign - and will continue to plant trees in this Grove to compensate for some of the organisation's business activities which will inevitably include the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
