Nick was one of the brightest, most intelligent people I have ever known. His thirst for knowledge and determination to make the most of each day, despite the cruel hand he was dealt, has served as an inspiration to me throughout my life. He had a wicked sense of humour which never failed to raise a smile. I feel privileged to have been able to count him amongst my closest friends.
