The Touring Network exists to see rural touring be a central, celebrated and indispensable part of the cultural life of Scotland. We exist to enable live performances of the highest level, transforming people as promoters, performers and audiences to create vibrant places to live, work and visit. Each year, members of The Touring Network, stage over 700 events in the highlands and islands in over 60 small-scale venues from community centres to pubs, village halls to historic castles. Set amidst some of the most breath-taking scenery in the world, these small-scale events bring you up close and personal with the very best performers from across Scotland and beyond.

To offset The Touring Network's carbon for 2021-22-
The Touring Network has planted 4 trees for every Co2 tonne emitted for 21-22 – which is a carbon offset figure based on surveys in local plantations from previous years. That said, carbon sequestration is a complex process that varies greatly depending on the species of tree, soil type, altitude, climate and other ecological factors, so no formal offset figure can be attributed to our emissions as yet. What we do know is that our trees will be planted alongside other native trees, and in time will transform open hillsides into healthy young woodland, helping to restore the Caledonian forest. This rich habitat will support wildlife such as red squirrel, black grouse, capercaillie, pine marten and golden eagleDonated by The Touring Network
