Our daughters are the greatest gift from our time on this world. From the day they were born we celebrated our blessings and knew love in its truest form. The old bear's eyes started to fill up, it never got any easier talking to his heart rather than the one he longed to be with. I will get there as soon as I can. Has it been 7 years already? The old bear's heart had taken a long time to finally scar over, after that day. He had hoped it would never heal so that he could travel quickly to where it truly longed to be. Life's not that easy and the gift can only be taken back and not given. He remembered when they thought their own little miracle was going to happen. Easter 2016 was hopefully going to be really special. However, life is never straight forward and we should not forget that. It was our last together but your spirit is always here. Happy Easter Blossom. ? xxx

You would have been 69 today, thought the old bear. He had always imagined they would still be going for walks and holding paws, talking about nothing in particular and looking forward to a nice cuppa somewhere before walking home. Another year had passed and once again the Little Bird watched them gather around the glowing lights of the Christmas Tree. She perched upon the window sill to look in at her family for just a moment. The old bear did the maths and realised it would have been 48 years of marriage if time had dealt a different hand to him. Like so many others he forgot that loss was inevitable. The old bear's heart ached as he looked down at where his friend had looked up at him for the last time. It had been a hard decision to let him leave to be with his mum and brothers but it was his time. One day they would all take walks together again. ?
