Plants are the foundation of life, and we are happy to contribute to this rewilding project as a thanks to Vincent for making photos at our family day.

Last weekend, we celebrated our 12.5-year wedding anniversary with a fantastic après-ski party. It was an evening full of fun, laughter, and wonderful memories! Just like 12.5 years ago, Vincent Hartman was once again part of our celebration. With his keen eye and sense of atmosphere, he beautifully captured the spirit of the night. Thanks to his stunning photos, we’ll be able to relive these special moments for years to come.

We would have loved to donate 12.5 trees to mark the occasion – a symbolic gesture for our 12.5 years together – but unfortunately, that wasn’t possible. Still, both trees and photos share something special: they leave a lasting impression.

Here on the industrial estate in Heino, the next door neighbour of STUDIOVHF, turned 65 and just moved into his new home. I (Vincent) got an invite for a drink and celebrate the new steps in his live. In true Dutch tradition, a lot of people show an envelope on the invite to encourage visitors not to give crap presents, but a little donation instead. I am not a fan of that tradition. Also, Tjakko is not drinking as much coffee here in the office anymore like he used to do, so I have saved a bit of money. So why not plant some trees (He will get some empty envelopes though, HaHa)? Hi Tjakko, here are some trees, come and see them one day in the Scottish Highlands!

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of STUDIOVHF we are planting an extra 25 trees to get the total number to 100. In addition to this, photographerstirling.co.uk is now live for 8 years. We hope to continue doing this for many years to come and plant more trees!

These 15 trees have been planted in memory of our youngest brother Theo oud Ammerveld. We hope that these trees will become part of a strong and sturdy forest.

I was asked to inspire the local photography club ‘Fotoclub Heino’ with a talk about portrait photography and portrait lighting techniques. Having good experience myself with camera clubs in both Zwolle and Falkirk, I invited the members to come to the studio. We had a very enjoyable and interactive evening and at the end of the night I was handed an envelope with a donation. That donation is now converted into trees in the lovely Scottish Highlands!

Planted on behalf our customer who planned a photo shoot in December and asked to be invoiced in the new year. They offered to pay extra for the privilege! As the interest isn't that high, and the customer uses our photo studio regularly, we would normally treat this as an extra customer service. In this instance however we accepted the offer, with more trees for our grove at the back of our mind

One of our customers was chuffed to bits with his portrait images that he decided to pay more than the actual amount on the invoice! A very kind gesture and converting that into trees makes us even more happy!
