Gordon emerging from one of his beloved aeroplanes
Gordon loved the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. A brilliant artist and designer, he enjoyed observing Nature from the structural effect of bare trees in winter and reflections on a glassy loch, to the formation of clouds across an evening sky. He was never the greatest of walkers (!), preferring to sit and look, take photos or best of all - to combine Nature with one of his other passions and fly over a landscape in a small plane to get a bird's-eye perspective. Full of fun, love and laughter, Gordon's death left a huge gap in the lives of his wife, Irene, their five children (Graham, Paul, Alison, Sarah and Vanessa) and partners, and eleven grandchildren, but he'll always be remembered with a big smile, probably a giggle and a profound love that will endure.
