Jacqueline Shane, knowing as Jacqui
(also spelt Jackie, and Jacky),
was a youth organiser for CND,
who worked as Computer professional at Imperial College
until kidney disease forced her early retirement.
She loved gardening and natural history
so health permitting devoted her remaining time and energy
to voluntary work for local wildlife organisations
(particularly in Richmond Upon Thames).

These trees are dedicated to the wonderful woman who is the inspiration for this new grove that we all hope will be a significant addition to the rebirth and restoration of the ancient Caledonian forests. Jacqueline Shane, may you rest in peace. You are surrounded by the love of your faithful friends who joined your pursuits of good conservation and your loving family; daughter, Emma Dorothy and your dear grandson, David Emmanuel.
