My daughter Sierra was born in May 2017.
I hope that she will grow up to love the Scottish Highlands and its remaining pine forests as much as I do.
I have started this grove to grow up in tandem with her as a positive symbol of life in this world.
In the future she will be able to walk among these trees and see her own growth and creativity reflected in them.

Add trees to this grove

Darling Sierra, you are on your way to Scotland for the first time! This is hoping you will, over time, see your trees grow as you do, and love the wilderness in all its different seasons. xx Granny

Sierra, May you learn much from wisdom of trees, finding both delight and shelter in their presence. May your roots be deep and your branches wide. You are a much blessed and much loved little girl.

For Sierra

2nd June 2017

This grove has been started to coincide with the birth of my daughter Sierra. I hope that it will bring her a lifetime of gratitude and enjoyment, and give her somewhere beautiful and peaceful to visit. If we continue to grow it, then many years from now she will be able to pass on a bigger, stronger and healthier forest to her own children. For now, I hope that planting this new grove of trees will make a small contribution to restoring the great Caledonian forest and sustaining a healthy highland environment.

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.

Twinflowers in bloom on pine woodland floor.
