"There is nothing more lovely in life than the union of two people whose love for one another has grown through the years, from the small acorn of passion, into a great rooted tree." Vita Sackville-West

On the occasion of your marriage, I gift you a grove. May your love be like this grove of trees – with roots that go deep but branches that touch the sky. Like these trees, may your marriage strong and firm always and your roots forever intertwined. May you weather life's storms together in the knowledge that your strength lies as much in your togetherness as the spaces you offer to each other to grow. In these spaces may your fragrance spread to be a blessing upon this earth. May you have the patience of these trees – slow to react but quick to give. May your marriage offer shade and comfort to all you come across. May the fruits of your efforts always be sweet, your words kind and your actions compassionate. May you always be surrounded by laughter and love. "Now may you feel no rain, for may each of you be a shelter to the other Now may you feel no cold for may each of you offer warmth to the other Now may there be no more loneliness for may each of you be a companion to the other Now you are two bodies but there is one life before you Go now to your dwelling place, to enter into the days of your togetherness And may your days be good and long before the earth."

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.
