A grove of trees in the Scottish Highlands

If we care about people's health, we must must care about the health of our environment
and returning as much as we can to nature.

Add trees to this grove

A huge thank you to my brilliant colleagues for your companionship and support over the last 25 years-and to the people of North Skye, what a great place to live and work- lets keep it for the future!

Helping to restore and nurture our natural environment is fundamental to our future wellbeing. As we consume the resources of our planet, they must be replenished if we are to ensure a future for our children. Our wellbeing depends on the balance and health of natural ecosystems without which, we cannot ensure our survival. All our good work to improve individual health and longevity is meaningless if we no longer have an habitable environment. I wanted to start this grove of trees long before but the occasion of my retirement has made it happen. I hope that colleagues, patients and friends of the practice will add to the grove each year, helping to restore the Caledonian Forest and in so doing, return some of this beautiful and wild country to nature for the benefit of people and our planet.

Your grove of trees

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.
