Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Hopeful and bold, we are committed to creating nature-rich landscapes that include and support people. Our vision is of a revitalised wild forest in the Scottish Highlands, providing space for wildlife to flourish and communities to thrive.

The key to rewilding’s success is people. At Trees for Life we welcome applications from everyone. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive organisation, and recognise that some communities currently remain underrepresented in the environmental and conservation sector, including in the Scottish Highlands. We welcome applications from individuals from minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled communities, and those from underrepresented socioeconomic backgrounds. We are committed to proactively diversifying our sector, especially in leadership roles.

Just as biodiversity enhances ecosystems, diverse people enrich our sector and help us take bolder, more impactful action for nature. Rewilding is a shared journey, and together, we’re crafting a diverse, living landscape that supports communities and local livelihoods.

If you require any additional support or adjustments for the application or interview process, please don’t hesitate to contact us at jobs@treesforlife.org.uk

Gaelic (Gàidhlig)

Gaelic is the oldest surviving language in Scotland and has been spoken throughout these glens for centuries. Gaelic is deeply connected to our landscapes, nature and rewilding, and forms an integral part of Scotland’s culture and heritage.

We recognise the language’s vital role in shaping both our past and future, and actively encourage Gaelic learners and speakers to apply for all our roles.

Tha sinn a’ coimhead air adhart ris an iarrtas agaibh fhaighinn! We look forward to receiving your application!
